Tournament number three is in the books and if you'll
remember I asked last month if someone could step forward and challenge the teams of Westmoreland/Hightower and Tucker/Tucker.
Well someone did. Unfortunately one of those teams that stepped forward had another Westmoreland on it......... We fished Nickajack for December and there were some tough conditions what with TVA pulling water like all the gates
were open. Fast, dingy water was the rule for the day, so keep reading and find out how everyone finished......... Joining forces this month were Kenneth Westmoreland
and Tom Dickson. Tom's fished every tournament so far but this was the first tournament of the year for Kenneth.
Go figure they would win this one with Kenneth getting back in the swing of things. Kenneth and Tom brought in a five
fish limit of largemout that went 10.88 lbs and was anchored by a 3.29 lber. Kenneth said they caught their fish on
a little bit of everything so I guess junk fishing was the thing for them today. Great job guys!!!!!.
Finishing second, was the team of Michael and Jason Crider with a five fish limit of largemouth as well. Their limit
went 9.26 lbs and was anchored by a 2.94 lb fish. This is the best showing for this team so far. All of their
fish came on shakey head with a black worm in eddy's and slack water. Good job guys!!!!!
Coming in at third was the team of Kevin Westmoreland and Deke Hightower. They had three fish that went 8.06
lbs and was anchored by the big fish of the day, which was a 3.63 lb largemouth. Knowing Hightower that fish was probably
caught on a thirty-six inch spook or a twenty inch worm. You know how that Hightower boy is about throwing those big
baits....... Taking fourth was the team of Tracy
and Ronnie Tucker. They had two fish that went 3.14 lbs and were hoping for some extra luck for the day with those
awesome new hats that came with the attached hair. Ronnie never had real hair that looked that good......well that's
what Tracy said anyway......... It was a tough day for everyone,
what with the fast, dirty water, and thankfully everyone had a safe day. Stay tuned for next months results after we
make the trip to Guntersville. Take care...............................
