Well the tournament season is rolling right along.
Tournament number 5 is in the books. Some folks made a really strong showing, some went middle of the road, and some
came up short. We couldn't have asked for a better day as far as the weather conditions went. After wondering
if the team of Wayne Issac/Deke Hightower was going to make it on time, and after waiting on Kenneth Westmoreland to turn
off his parking lights we got under way. Well
weigh-in rolled around at 3:15 and everyone was trying to load their boats, but thanks to some non-parking individuals who
had some of us blocked in it took us a while. The team of Wayne Issac/Deke Hightower pulled a power move and brought
a limit weighing 14.21 lbs to the scales to take first place. It seems a little extra sleep in the mornings does wonders
for your fishing ability. The team of Glenn Forrester/Michael Dalrymple took second place with a healthy sack of four
fish weighing 13 lbs, anchored by a 5.76 lb largemouth Glenn caught. This was the big fish for the tournament and is
leading for the season as well. John Gregory was fishing alone and took honors for third with two fish weighing 7.22
lbs, anchored by a 4.59 lb largemouth. The team of Kevin Westmoreland/Chris Kirksey took fourth with two fishing weighing
4.71 lbs. Kenneth Westmoreland fished alone and brought one fish in weighing 1.81 lbs. The teams of Chris Youngblood/Tracy
Tucker and Mike Crider/Tony Walker couldn't manage to get it together and zeroed for the day.
Congratulations to all the guys that caught fished and a Well Done to you. Our next tournament is March 14th at Lay
Lake. Get ready!!!!!
